Went out with Evil Genius to watch Battle of Red Cliff yesterday at Yishun. Since he doesn't have a Visa Platinum and I do, I paid for the movie instead of him. And then he treated me to a cheap lunch, costing a total of $7. I hope that isn't the meal that's going to be the equal of my $509 treat at Nogawa, Le Meridien... How does one get such a treat? Well, it's a story of Mahabharata proportions.
An axiom which I came away with, from watching the show: 用人不疑, 疑人不用. Use someone whom you trust, don't use someone you distrust. The beauty of this phrase in Chinese / Mandarin is that when the words are properly juxtaposed, the meaning changes.
It's been way too many years since I've watched a movie with Evil Genius. Next: The Clone Wars. :-)
