I'm not a very worldly nor experienced person, and I make up for this by reading plenty. I passed by Popular Books today, and was tempted very much by over 10 books, easily costing over a total of $100-$200, which I considered relatively cheap. Back in the 80s when I started splurging on books to beef up on my skills of my favourite hobby, I could have easily spent $30-$100 for each book.
The only consideration in whether to buy so many books is the issue of space. Where would I place these books after I've finished reading them? After a lot of consideration, I bought two books: The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs and The Art of Seduction. Together with the skills (body language mirroring, vocal tone, speed of speech, to name a few) I've picked up from my NLP lessons, my counselling course and these 2 books, absolutely nothing is gonna stop me from wowing my audience when I do a presentation.
