It's important to trust team members when working on a project, whether you're a team leader, or a team member. Each one contributes their part, and the team lead leads to learn how to trust team members, and team members need to trust the team lead to be able to lead and direct them to produce the necessary result, so that the team can work as a whole.

Recently, I had the opportunity to witness the inner workings of a team, and witness a team lead not trusting his team members to produce their parts, and instead worked on his own.

The downside to this is that the team lead loses his energy and motivation, if and when this happens over extended periods of time, and the entire team gets weaker.
