Saturday, I attended Lyn and Ben’s (both are my ex-colleagues at Borland) wedding at a church in Yishun. It was the first time I attended a wedding in a church.

Some of the speeches given were pretty funny, especially when Lyn referred to her husband, Ben, as “my future husband”. That made a couple of us laughed!

Also funny was the way the pastor talked during his speech, asking relatives if there were any objections, inviting them to voice it out then. Then of course, there was this English translator who had problems translating some of the Mandarin phrases used by the pastor, such as "初一十五". After struggling for a while, she managed to translate it to "tit-for-tat".
