For reasons unclear, I stepped into the lift and the lift rose. It had a door that didn't close (and it didn't occur to me to report it to BCA, though I had doubts that it existed there as well), and it moved quite a distance. It took some twenty minutes (much much longer than usual) to reach from where and when I stepped in, to where and when I stepped out.

While it sped towards it's summoned destination, the draft created by the movement of the lift blew at my face. I had never been so concerned about my life before;  I grabbed onto the handle at the side of the lift and hung on for dear life.

While I wandered how the lift moved without apparently having seen any of it's innards of wires, I looked out the lift and above, but the surroundings and the sky was too dark for me to make out any wires.

The rest of the trip in the left went like this, and eventually, I stepped out of the lift when the lift arrived at its summoned destination.
