I've been having a bad cough since last Thursday. When I sought medical help today, turns out that I've had a throat infection, and thus, was given 2 days of MC, which is useless to me, since I work and am still working at home.

Seems like some grassroots leader have caught on to the fact that the Singapore Govt seeks feedback and opinionsd after they're done with the implementation of something, eg, casinos, hence, when there was a discussion on some national agenda recently in certain areas, some grassroot leaders did not turn up, hence, leading to a bad turnout.

Therefore, given that the PAP has been governing in power for 40 years, and in existence for 51 years,  it might not continue to exist much longer, if it continues to govern and rule things the same way, much like my throat infection. For example, one of the old ideas of PAP: White-on white uniform for the past 51 years. If I had continued to try and ignore the throat infection, it might have gotten worse. The PAP appears to be the first political party in the world to have been in existence for more than 50 years. Historically (if I had gotten my facts right), no political parties in the world last beyond 50 years. It would be interesting to see how it can survive the challenges in this decade and century.

Now, you can see why studying political science could be interesting! ;o)
