When I started work many years ago, I felt that I should use my newfound wealth to make Singapore a better place. So, one day, when I was given a donation form, I filled in $100, so that I donate $100 per month to a certain foundation (CF) for the artificial blood-filtering process of organ patients.

(Un)Fortunately (for them) for me, the person processing my form at CF thought I meant $1 per month, so I proceeded to donate $72 to CF for the next 6 years. I never donate to that CF these days, because of a rumour I've heard from, supposedly a staff in the CF, which I'll not repeat here.
