It's really feast and famine for me, literally. Just this month alone, I get invited to about four restaurant dinners, each one being a 8-10 course meal. How can anyone not grow fat with that? It's an average of one restaurant dinner every week.
The table I was sitting at tonight was for a 10-person capacity. Instead, only 7 persons turned up. I'm aware that many Singaporeans are suffering from lack of money, lack of food, lack of opportunities, and the dinner I was at tonight was for the purpose of raising funds for a hospital providing free treatment to financially challenged people.
So, there were prawns I couldn't finish, dessert of grounded yam with coconut paste (I don't know the actual description). The restaurant was Gim Tim, but we weren't eating at any of the restaurant's premises. Instead, we were elsewhere.
I met Andrew tonight. Andrew is a regular with CD and he's been with CD for 15 years.
I had my hair cut today, so that on Monday, I'll be ready to meet the big guy, Arnold. I was told it's a session of 1 hour only, so after I finish the session, I could presumably rush back and resume my regular schedule.
I was told that the Arnold is friendly, and he's into caligraphy. That's so strange, because he doesn't fit the stereotypical profile of a person who's into that.
