While on the way to Orchard Marriot Hotel to collect the durian snowskin mooncakes on 31 Aug, I passed by the Thai Embassy. Peering out of the window, I saw the Thai Embassy surrounded by police personnel and a dark black dog.

In addition, a vehicle from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit was there. The vehicle was marked EOD. I believe that with the exception of people, and domain experts who are intimately familiar with acronyms used within the Singapore forces, not many knew what it meant.

This led me to believe that a bomb was placed within the boundary of the Thai Embassy and passer-by cannot walk along the road there. In addition, visitors to the Thai Embassy were screened by police, and their belongings checked.
