Last Friday, I bought a Sony Ericsson T230 for $38. Looks like quite a nice phone, but the more I used it, the more I thought the design could be improved.
How so? For example, if you were to try to send a text message consisting of just numbers, for each number, you have to press a key between 2 to 4 times. There is no insert number mode. The toggling of input is only for T9, or non-T9.
In addition, in the brochures, Sony Ericsson mentioned that this mobile phone supports a “high speed” data transfer interface. No where on the Internet can I find what the “high speed” of the T230 is. In using some transfer programs, I've noticed that the most I can set for the T230 is 9600bps. If I set it any higher, the T230 doesn't respond at all. The data transfer cable I'm using for the T230 is Sony Ericsson's DCU11. The DCU11 package consists of a CD and a USB cable. The CD contains files for only the OS to recognize the USB cable. Other than that, there's no user programs at all.
Hello, Sony Ericsson? What are you thinking???
