Dedicated to Mei Yan

I was transferred to this class,
among them was this lass.
Sitting down on a chair,
A project group I came to bear.

I was nonchalant,
The project became a challenge.

Members they were and such fun,
is Mei Yan, Steven, Hwee Tong and Tze Nam.

As days became nights and nights to day,
The project we rush, to finish it someday.

As t'was the project class, we left early,
to Sim Lim Square and get our circuitry.
And hence it was, months and months past,
The dateline for the project came at us fast!
Methodically, we worked hard,
And restaurants we went, for food and drinks such.

We ate, drank and discuss, our project at a table,
thus in love I fell, with Mei Yan, it was inevitable.

When great friends we've finally become,
I was devastated to know that the day would come.

When it was time, for us to part,
I wonder, did she know, that she had my heart?

And so, to her I hope,
all the best, Mei Yan,
