Seldom had someone said something that sounded like music to these ears, and whereupon it was said: Siam Kitchen, Causeway Point.

A plain jane and an elderly female walked in, and asked for two seats. It would appear that the elderly female is the Ah Ma (grandma) of the younger female (probably one of the many grandchildren she had).

And so Jane asked her grandma her choices...
(In transliterating the phonetic to the literal, I had to take some liberties)

Jane: Ler ai Tom Yam therng mai? Si hiam sng therng. (Would you want Tom Yam soup? It's chilly sour soup)
Grandma: Ler kyeo si mi kai, wa joo jia si mi kai. (Whatever you order, I'll eat)

After a jiffy, the food arrived... Jane had ordered more than enough food for more than two persons.

Grandma: Mmm zai zo ni jia (Don't know how to eat these)
Me: Mun mun jia (Eat slowly)

Sometime later, as I'm leaving...

Me: Mun mun jia, mm si dak kai nung ooh kia hao sim (Eat slowly, it's not everyone who has a heart of filial piety)
