I was at Neptune Theatre last night, having dinner at a function for the Pioneer Fund raising cum residents' day dinner.

The Guest of Honor was Mr Cedric Foo and he explained why he stepped down as a Minister, jokingly saying that the organizers of the function would have saved on the costs of printing the banner since lesser words needed to be printed.

Near the end of the function, people below 18 years of age were asked to leave the area, as there would be a display of extravagance, that is, breasts.

The last time I was there, I dunno, I guess, was in 1996, 1997, or 1999. The same display of extravagance was made available. I believed I made the same comments then, as I did last night, concerning the display of extravagance.

Mainly, why were patrons below 18 years of age asked to leave the area? When I aired this question last night, my companions said that it was because of the law. That is totally missing the point and the spirit in which my question was raised.

After all, the show last night wasn't erotic, or sexual. According to something I've read online, some of the rules and regulations at Neptune were "female dancers have to come onstage topless. They are not allowed to disrobe or be disrobed on stage. And of course, there is to be no touching."

With these regulations in place, why were patrons below 18 years of age asked to leave the area? It's not as if those below 18 haven't got those, and by that, I meant both sexes of the same species.

Further, doing it would raise the same question that I've asked, "why the much ado about nothing?"
