An ArcSight installation (also implementation) can be quite easy, or can be quite complex, depending on the requirements involved.

Here's a list of general steps to perform:

  1. Install the Oracle database, eg, arcsight databasesetup
  2. Install the manager, eg, arcsight managersetup
  3. Install the console. Since this is platform dependent, use the appropriate executable.
  4. Optionally, install the web console, so that you can view it from a browser. Use the appropriate executable as well.
  5. Install the SmartConnectors, again, platform dependent.
