Upgrade to .Text 0.96 in progress...

I've been working on upgrading .Text to 0.96 for more than 14 hours. The most problematic issues were migrating/upgrading the SQL database.

I started the upgrade by backing up my existing .Text database, and then restoring it into a new database, hence, ensuring that I can have two sites running at the same time, one with 0.95, and one with 0.96.

The steps to getting the database 0.96 ready is as follows:

1. Run update.sql
2. Run 096_membership.sql
3. Run blog_genericgetentryIDs_10.sql
4. Run blog_updateconfigupdatetime.sql
5. Run blog_insertlink.sql
6. Run SPS_096.sql

I took many hours to figure out the exact sequence, since .Text 0.96 was in a flux and Scott didn't update .Text for quite a while, as he moved from Microsoft to Telligent Systems.

In the process, I also incorporated the new hyperlink attribute that Google, Microsoft and Yahoo is in the process of supporting, which Scott mentioned.

Creating new users and migrating existing users is really a bitch... I haven't exactly figured out how to do that, so the site is in a flux.

Let's hope it doesn't take too many days before the new .Text site comes up.
