For those of you who were not aware of it, Chief Technology Officer Blake Stone and the last remaining Delphi architect, Chuck Jazdzewski has left Borland.
Blake Stone is the person who gave life to Borland JBuilder, all the way from version 1 up to JBuilder X.
Danny Thorpe is now Delphi compiler architect. He had been the Delphi compiler architect for the past 2-3 years. Danny had been with Borland for nearly 13-15 years. He joined Borland sometime in 1988 or 1989.
It looks like there's always two Delphi compiler architects. One, the master, the other, the padawan. ;)

In 2017, with the release of Delphi 10.2 Tokyo, Embarcadero introduced a specialized implementation of the Observer pattern into the System.Classes unit. While it has been in the wild for 9 years, it remains a "hidden" architecture for many, primarily because it serves as the invisible engine behind LiveBindings. Other than live bindings, you can also use the Observer pattern as a way to update component settings to the Windows registry, an .ini file, or persist it elsewhere.
