The return of Ferry

While I was working in Jakarta, I befriended a colleague named Ferry over a period of 5 days(or was it 2 weeks). Shortly after, I made arrangements for Ferry to come to Singapore, and oversaw his learning of the basics of the Multi Bank Mobile Banking System. After work, I brought Ferry around, treated him to meals almost every day (? Can't really remember) and bought him a bag.

Last Friday, Ferry returned to Singapore, and continued his education on the Mobile Transaction Engine (MTE). We chatted yesterday on Yahoo Messenger, and Ferry asked if I'm free for a dinner to be treated to a dinner, so I replied positively.

I met up with Ferry at Jalang Kilang Barat (?) and we walked to Alexandra Village to have dinner, which consisted of 5 sticks of mutton and 5 sticks of chicken satay, 2 ketupats and a plate of chilli clams. I actually wanted to eat more, however, when Ferry claimed he was full, I didn't order any more, since it's rather expensive for him, and I didn't want to embarrass him by paying for it on my own.

After dinner, we walked around the area, looking for bread for his breakfast today. He said that it's really hard to find bread for breakfast in Singapore, at least, since he was staying at Robertson Quay hotel.

After which, Ferry wanted to buy Bee Cheng Hiang dried pork and said he saw some at Orchard, and I brought him around Orchard. I showed him where Sunny Bookstore is, since he wanted to try and get some second hand books today.

We walked around Orchard, went to Somerset and saw the hawker stalls erected in the carparks, which would last until February next year.

While walking around, we chatted, and while on the topics of books, I mentioned that we have at least 83 libraries, since Singapore is segregated into at least 83 areas. Ferry commented that Singaporeans are a lucky lot.

Shortly after, we separated, and Ferry went on back to his hotel.
