Once again, another cheerful and happy day. I accomplished this
though I didn't get a good night's sleep. Forgotten songs,
rediscovered, can lead to a very good day. Last night, I rediscovered
Beach Boys' "Kokomo", and "Don't worry, Baby". The last time I heard
the "Don't worry, Baby" song was in the movie déjà vu, where Denzel
Washington played an agent from ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms).
While in bus 590 today, after reading Business Times, I continued
reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I need to learn how to
express the five love languages so that I can have a happier partner. One contributing happiness factor today was that there wasn't any
high priority issues, and it appeared also to me that I have managed to
de-link myself emotionally from the outcome of the work I do. I appear
to be less tough on myself than I used to. I am also working on being more aware of my feelings and emotions
throughout the day. To this end, I have made a reservation to NLB for
the Little Book of Big Emotions by Erika Hunter.
Today is a special day as well. I have decided last week to give up
watching the Time Traveller's Wife preview, in order to go help people
at MPS. As I am a M1 subscriber, I could have gotten free preview
tickets and not care about MPS. However, I think what I am doing is
helping others in small immeasurable ways. During MPS, I gave a toddler a box of my raisins, taken from my front shirt pocket.
The days ahead are just going to get better and better!
