Thursday was a long day, as if it was a Monday. I had to entertain a colleague who just joined the company and flew in from Australia, and so, we had a sumptuous dinner at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant at Riverwalk.

We split after the dinner, around approximately 2100. Mok Yang's mother-in-law has passed away, so I had to attend the funeral at Jurong West. Took an MRT to Jurong East (not knowing that Jurong West is closer to Boon Lay MRT), and took a cab to St 61. Reached Blk 639 around 2200. Chatted with the guys, Steven, Andy and a while later, Kelvin turned up. Gave $50 as a condolence since I'm more well-to-do than the others.

Kelvin suggested supper thereafter, and off we went to Rail Mall. During the supper, Kelvin sought my opinion on land banking, and I disclosed that I went into land banking in 1996, and disposed of it in 2004. I got the impression that Steven was quite impressed that I got into investment in my younger years.

When I gave a small talk on why we should be investing at this time of financial turmoil, Andy said I'm giving a CEO talk again. So after finishing our drinks (mine was just a glass of lime juice) and food (of which I had none), we split and Andy drove me back to my neighbourfood and dropped me off (ever heard of a CEO who doesn't drive, doesn't know how to drive, and doesn't own a car? - oh wait, I know one MD who doesn't: Predeep).

I think I reached home around 0030 and slept shortly thereafter.
