When in trouble, ask for help. For example, say, you can't afford to pay your ex-wife alimony, time to get help.

One of the best ways to do this is to write to the Senior Minister of State (Law), Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee, for example,

  1. State the current situation
  2. Explain the grounds for appeal
  3. Ask for assistance

Mr X has been separated from his wife for the past n years and has been paying n amount of maintenance to his wife. However, he is finding it more difficult to make the payments as he is now a daily rated worker, earning $x/day. In addition, his ex-wife is currently employed, and does not require the alimony.

He is thus appealing for a deferment in providing for alimony until he finds a permanent job. Please review his appeal and assist him. Thank you.
