VLC recently had this green line at the bottom of every video I played.

It seemed that this was a bug that was accidentally added to the product, however, a workaround is available.


In order to apply the workaround, do the following:

  1. Open Tools, Preferences.
  2. Show setting in simple mode.
  3. Click video tab, uncheck use hardware YUV ->  RGB conversions.
  4. Click save.
  5. Restart VLC.
