After restoring a backup on Note 4, I'm locked out of it via a pin. When using the pin that I remembered I set, it didn't work.

So, I'm left with no choice but to try and figure out how to remove it.

Instructions at MIUI didn't work.

So, I moved out these files from /data/system:

  • fingerprintpassword.key
  • fmmpassword.key
  • gesture.key
  • personalpin.key
  • sparepassword.key

These didn't work, and it seemed the eventual files that helped unlock my Note 4 were moving away these files in /data/system:

  • locksettings.db
  • locksettings.db-shm
  • lock.settings.db-wal
