Over the past few weeks, I found the screen timeout feature of the Android a source of frustration. Why did it offer 2 minutes, and then suddenly, 10 minutes, with nothing else in between?

So, on Sunday, I went spelunking into the internals of Android, determined to find if there's a way to change this... And I found it! I then started a new Android project and quickly created a tool to change it...

After a while, I thought it might be useful to the rest of the world and I uploaded it onto the Android Market.

Within 2 days, there were 1490 total downloads, with 1205 active installs so far. So, I guess I resonated with a lot of people who shared the same frustration...
