One of the issues I have when displaying titles is that the title may be encoded in HTML format.
Consider the following string:'Storsjöodjur hunting season will beopening soon'
Before I implemented a solution, the title will be displayed as it is.
After implementing the solution, the title would be displayed as:Storsjöodjur hunting season will be opening soon
How I implemented HTML decoding is via the TWebBrowser component. I wrote the title to the WebBrowser's Document, and then read it back. The code to implement HTML decoding is as follows:
V := WebBrowser1.Document; V.Open; V.Clear; V.Write(Post.PostTitle); V.Close;
Document := WebBrowser1.Document as IHTMLDocument2; Title := Document.body.innerText;
In 2017, with the release of Delphi 10.2 Tokyo, Embarcadero introduced a specialized implementation of the Observer pattern into the System.Classes unit. While it has been in the wild for 9 years, it remains a "hidden" architecture for many, primarily because it serves as the invisible engine behind LiveBindings. Other than live bindings, you can also use the Observer pattern as a way to update component settings to the Windows registry, an .ini file, or persist it elsewhere.
