I've sent emails to my partners, notifying that if the customers don't confirm their orders by the end of this week, prices go up next week by 50%.

I can do this because I'm the only person who can implement the solutions. The customers had more than a month to think through my proposal, besides, I've other considerations up my sleeves, which is why I had to do that.

Today morning, I went to the place I went every Monday evening to help unfortunate people. Sigh... They bought a SMS solution from some lousy company, and these guys sell a SMS solution for close to $1000 and they can't even do it properly, as I watched the tech guy fumble his way around.

Tech guy: Geez, I can't open and browse the page on that machine. Must be the web server got problem. Ooh, you got XP SP2 eh? Must be XP SP2 causing the problem!

So, I hung around there until 12pm, and Mr Low drove me to Tai Seng Ave (or Drive?), and picked up his friends (Mr Quek, Alice Ong and oops, her sister?), and we went to Grassroots Club to have lunch. Lunch was: Fried pork ribs, crispy chicken, sharksfin, braised fish, drunken prawns, fried egg with sharksfin, some vege, some noodles, some abalone with vege. During lunch, these guys were talking about having built the fire station, and the sports centre at Ang Mo Kio. Mr Quek also mentioned about wanting to appoint a directorship to Mr Phua, who's well known in the 80s (in fact, I took a walk together with him in the early 80s, or late 70s), unfortunately, because the news was going to appear in the papers before he made his decision formally, he decided not to take up the directorship. Wow, if it were me, I would have taken it up already...

After lunch, he drove me to his company at Stirling Road, so that I could look at his printer problem. Unfortunately, time ran out, and we have to rush to one of the places at Yew Tee. There, he wanted me to be the eClub Manager, and said as much to his coworkers, who are Diana(?), Clarisse, and Carol. Most of the topic don't even come close to talking about IT, so I was bored and yawning away.

Then, this young chap called and asked about my business partnership and stated that he wanted to do a low-budget $24 per annum webhosting. Goodness! These reseller kids! They're going to destroy everyone's faith. You can only host up to about 200 accounts per machine, and at $24, that's $4800. A machine cost about $1500-$3000, so, what's left after the machine's cost is $1800-$3300. (Just imagine, do you wanna earn $1800-$3300 per annum if it was your full time job? No way!) Even the lowest bandwidth isn't that cheap. And how about your profits? Sigh... amateurs! Just thinking about earning a quick buck, and using their job to subsidise the time they need in order to start and run the business.

Then, there was this email inviting me to The Treasury to have a tea session on 27th Dec, next month.
