One of the most fun part of being a freelance CCNA and MCSE in Singapore is getting to meet different people and different kind of problems.

Regardless of whether you're a home user, a small shop, you'll require the services of a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. A MCSE is certified by Microsoft to be able to solve problems associated with the usage of Microsoft Operating Systems, or designing IT infrastructure. A CCNA, on the other hand, is certified by Cisco to be able to design, and troubleshoot a network infrastructure.

Just the other day, I was up helping a shop which wanted an infrastructure that could have a file server, and a central login system. They wanted to use Windows 2003 Server, and insisted on an Active Directory solution.

When eventually, I finished setting up the office for them, they discover they couldn't see the file server listed on the network. I told them the reason why they couldn't was that the file server is also the domain controller.

Eventually, after some consultation, I wrote some script for them that satisfied them.
