After finishing my practicum assigment yesterday, I was in a quandary. It was 4pm in the afternoon. Should I go to Victoria Concert Hall to listen to some music, or do I explore some parts of Singapore I've never been to before?

Eventually, exploration won, and I decided to go to West Coast Park, a part of Singapore I've never been before, following the advice of  39 ways to live, and not merely exist. So, I took a taxi, and while on the way, the taxi driver took a call, and after finishing the call, began talking to me about her son, who's not so good at studies, and found studying very difficult. We began a casual conversation, and I ended up advising her not to scold her son, saying something to the tune of "Who doesn't want to do well?" and advised her to bring him out to places, so as to encourage him to study, in addition, she said she wanted to be counselled, so I advised her to go to one of the CCs and find the nearest Family Service Centre to get some counselling.

So, eventually, I dropped off at West Coast Park, and it was so thoroughly enjoying! There was a McDonald's there, and it was playing some kind of jazz music, I think. I found it very very relaxing. Into McDonald's I went, and bought myself an orange juice and an Oreo McFluffy. And I took a walk around the park, and to my amazement, I found people flying kites there! It was so magnificent and enjoying. I walked around there enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, and eventually, asked a boy if there was a place I could rent a bicycle from. He told me no, but there was a place renting go-karts, so I rented a go-kart and had so much fun making it go very fast! It was so exhilirating!

The difficult part about leaving West Coast Park is... getting out of the place, as I took a cab there. So, I had to dial a cab to get out. I went to Takashimaya, and took a walk around there, and bought myself some Godiva chocolates, and went to Borders. I was torn between two books: What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell, and Niche Dominators: Secret Success Exposed. Eventually, I bought What the Dog Saw, as I had wanted to buy it a few months back.

I then treated myself to a sumptuous dinner at Shashlik at Far East Shopping Centre, and ate an appetizer of caviar with egg  and a main course of pepper steak. After a short relaxing time around the area, I took the MRT home.
