On 20th Dec, we visited an auction at Goodwood Park Hotel, just for fun. It was our first time attending an auction. I had to give my IC so that I can be registered for bidding. After registration, I was given a bid card. So, if during the auction, I wanted to bid for any item, all I had to do was raise my card.
I didn't bid for anything though. I went there just to get the whole experience.
Afterwards, I visited Borders and bought Malcolm Gladwell's book - Outliers: The Story of Success. I finished the book a few days ago, and it really opened my eyes, in the sense that Malcolm believed that any person needs 10,000 hours of experience in any area before he can become an expert in that area.
