"Men of Clay" wrote a cute post "We Are Singapore Wage Slaves". In fact, the theme of the song is also one of the contributing factors that led me to become an IT consultant, entrepreneur / technopreneur, software developer, etc...

Why bother to work that hard for any company, when in fact, you're given a limited pay for a certain amount of time? Worst still, they're all out to exploit you. Most ask you to work OT, and then at the end of the month, give you the same pay, and maybe some little time off.

In the past few years, I've shelled out myself to others as a PC technician, earning about $40 per hour, to backup script writer, earning $1000 per day, to migration consultant, earning $1000 for a 3-5 day project, among other interesting IT stuffs.

In an alternate reality, I've asked William Henry Gates III an important question, which I no longer remember the answer to, however, it would appear that the answer would make me rich, when I recall sufficient details.
